Friday, August 24th, 2007Been to work on the bike for 3 days now. Probably for the equivilent of 1 full days travelling in time (as in elapsed, not Dr Who) and my ass is hardening nicely. That last phrase probably set an alarm off in the internet police station and I may get my computer confiscated. Just think yourself lucky I haven’t posted pictures.
Has a right game last night trying to get air in the front tyre. The crappy free BP air hose was leaky and the pressure undeterminable. I’ll take my custom elsewhere. Need to check the oil too tonight and then pack the Waitrose bags.
Beautiful days for riding, not too hot and nice and bright. I mentioned smells earlier in the blog. I’ve ridden past a few roadside catering establishments and boy do they stink. The stench of old cooking fat lingers in your nose like a err… bad smell. With the autocom intercom system, it is now customary to make an ‘is that you?’ statement at each bad smell, or my personal favourite after passing a muckspreader - “can you smell strawberries?’.
